It is a condition with varying degrees of debilitating physical symptoms that can lead to depression and hopelessness. In the next two weeks, I encourage you to look around at those people in your life who are struggling physically and emotionally, and offer them a free 30-minute meditation session. Below is a suggested physical position that is used to take pressure off of the spine and to improve diaphragmatic breathing. We know, based on neuroscience, that breathing and meditation are powerful tools in managing our stress response and balancing mood.
